The F-TYPE is powered by the most thrilling of gas engines from Jaguar, all of which feature innovative technologies without compromising on performance. The F-TYPE and F-TYPE First Edition feature a 2.0-liter 296 hp 4cylinder Turbocharged gas engine that delivers exceptional power and nimble handling. The F-TYPE R-Dynamic offers supercharged 3.0L V6 engine that is powerful yet refined, and its boost control and secondary throttle valve give you the full 380-hp burst when you accelerate. For rapid acceleration and engine response, the F-TYPE R engine is a supercharged 5.0L V-8 with 575-hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. All engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the V-6 and V-8 models have standard all-wheel drive.

The F-TYPE uses an individually-controlled braking system on the inside wheels to maximize capability through tight corners. Torque Vectoring by Braking helps deliver sporting agility and added driver confidence. Optional electronic active differential manages torque delivery to each of the rear wheels for fuller use of the available power. Available Configurable Dynamics enables you to adjust the steering weight, transmission map, and throttle response, and the Adaptive Dynamics option sharpens the response of the F-TYPE to provide an optimal driving experience.

Safety and Practicality

The F-TYPE’s advanced safety systems and driver assistance systems help you focus on the sheer pleasure of driving. Lane Keep Assist detects when your vehicle is unintentionally drifting out of its lane and applies a corrective torque to the steering wheel, encouraging you to guide your vehicle back. The optional Blind Spot Assist Pack includes Blind Spot Assist and Rear Traffic Monitor. If another car is in your blind spot when you begin to change lanes, Blind Spot Assist helps detect the car and applies corrective torque to guide you away from the approaching vehicle. Rear Traffic Monitor uses the same system to alert you, via the touchscreen, of moving vehicles during reversing. The Rear Camera provides improved visibility when reversing. To assist with parking, static lines representing your vehicle and its projected path appear on the touchscreen. Rollover Protection Bars, finished in Satin Chrome or Gloss Black, are an essential safety feature on Convertible models.

The F-TYPE features a comprehensive airbag system for you and your passenger. The advanced seatbelt pretensioners in the F-TYPE automatically tighten the seat belts in rapid deceleration situations. Emergency Braking detects when a potential frontal collision with another vehicle may occur and gives audible and visual alerts to warn the driver to brake. If the driver does not react, the F-TYPE applies the brakes to help reduce the severity of the possible impact. Cruise Control lets you maintain the current speed without the need for continued use of the accelerator pedal, helping to reduce driver fatigue. The Speed Limiter allows you to pre-set a maximum specified speed which the vehicle will not exceed. Both functions can be easily turned on or off by the driver as desired. Driver Condition Monitor detects if you’re starting to feel drowsy and gives you an early warning when you need to take a break. Parallel parking is made even easier with optional Park Assist, steering your vehicle into and out of a suitable space. After selecting either Drive or Reverse, you only have to control the vehicle’s speed. Graphics and notifications will guide you through the maneuvers. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System constantly monitors the pressure in each wheel and warns you when one or more of the tires are significantly under-inflated.
